A Classic Wedding Ceremony Venue

Beautiful Wedding Chapel

A Moment in Time, A Lifetime of Memories

Bridge Street Wedding Chapel

Consider us your trusted partner, guiding you like a friend or family member planning one of the most important days of your life.

When first engaged, most couples feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to start.

That’s where our 18 years of experience comes into play. We often see the relief in our couple’s eyes when they realize that we know the way, and we are not only happy to help but excited to be a trusted source for their wedding ceremony planning.

Outdoor weddings are romantic until Michigan weather steps in, and then the worrying and scurrying for an alternative choice begins. With the Bridge Street Wedding Chapel, you have the confidence and security of knowing whatever the weather, you never have to worry about snow or rain ruining your big day with us.

We have no hidden costs (many others do), and we include free decoration options, music, rehearsal night coordinator, and wedding day host. We also have cost and time-saving bundled options, which get three big decisions done all at once with the ceremony venue, officiant, and photographer.

You are, of course, welcome to bring in your preferred officiant and photographer.

With more than 350 couples who’ve said YES to being married in our chapel since 2006, we know we can help you, too. From a simple elopement ceremony with a few guests to a sizeable 190-guest ceremony we’ve got you covered.

Testimonials

“Thank you so much for hosting our wedding at the Bridge Street Wedding Chapel. You all were so helpful and everything we needed you had for us! The whole day was such a great experience and you guys made it stress-free for us. We will be recommending you to all of our friends who are looking for a place to be married. Also – the photos are outstanding. Thank you again.”

“You are wonderful! Even with the normal craziness of our wedding day, you made everyone feel calm which is quite remarkable. Your chapel is so beautiful and I am so happy we decided to hire you and Chris as our wedding photographers too. You helped make our day the best ever and now we have photos we will cherish forever! Thank you again.”

“I wanted to thank you on behalf of our daughter and new son-in-law. You’ve done such a remarkable job renovating your chapel and you were both so easy to work with, helping us every step of the way. We initially planned on having their wedding at our local church but with all the restrictions it just was not feasible. (They had lived together prior to the wedding which precluded them from being married in our church without a 6-month wait.) Thankfully we were told about your chapel. You were so much easier to deal with and in the end, your price was less expensive than our church would have been. Wow, that is all I can say about our day at your chapel. It could not have been more perfect. Thank you for being so nice and so easygoing and letting us have our wedding at your chapel.”

“We are so thankful that we were able to have our wedding ceremony at the Bridge Street Wedding Chapel. Living out of state, it was difficult to coordinate with our former churches’ schedules (as well as comply with their marriage class requirements being so far away), and were not having luck with the MSU Alumni Chapel (home football games preclude any ceremonies).

Luckily, we found the Bridge Street Chapel in Grand Ledge. It has been recently renovated by a husband-wife photographer team and they have done a spectacular job.

The inside is jaw-droppingly beautiful with the ladies and gentlemen’s dressing rooms (the men’s area resembles an old-school cigar lounge and there are plenty of mirrors and counters in the women’s changing rooms for all preparation needs). The altar and the stained glass windows will take your breath away. It provides an intimate, elegant setting and is the perfect place to get married, and will be sure to impress your guests with its beauty as well as amenities.”

Some History

Our building was constructed in 1903 as the First Congregational Church and is considered a historic site in Grand Ledge. The pews in our chapel were hand-crafted in 1891 and add to the timeless feel of the chapel. In early 2006, after purchasing the building, the Holmes family began an enormous restoration project, renovating the building to be better than new – keeping the best of the old and historic (original stain glass, woodwork, and organ pipes) while upgrading the comfort features such as new electrical, plumbing and bathrooms, new flooring, and central air and heat.
